Thanks for praying for that "surprise blessing or two" for me! I'm keeping my eyes open and my face heavenward to be warmed by the Son!

My oldest is 16. He used to play soccer, but now is interested in the telephone and girls. My middle is 9 and wants to play basketball. He's a little chunky, and looks more like a football player. My baby is 8 and wants to play football. He and I are the major NFL fans in the house. We watch football together. I'm not sure if their elementary school offers sports or not. They used to offer soccer when my oldest was there. I'm hoping at least basketball will be offered. I think the boys would get a kick out of that. Better go for now. It's homework time. RIC

Our weather is miserable too. We are in a horrible drought and temps around 105 for almost two weeks. I am also keeping track of Hurricane Dean. Alabama really needs the rain, but we don't need a hurricane.
My boys started school last Monday. My youngest had to write a "behavior essay" by the second day. He's only in the 3rd grade. I hope he will be good because having to help him write the essay was not much fun for me!!! Does your grandson like school? Hope to hear from you soon and wil be praying for you.

Hi. Nice to hear from you the other day! Hope all is well at your home. I am very busy as all 3 of my boys just started back in school. My 8 year old already brought a note home from the teacher and it's only the second day. Looks like it's going to be a long year. Anyway, I'll sign off for now. Just wanted you to know you are on my mind. RIC

Hello there! It is nice to meet you! Are you having a relaxing summer?! How many children and grandchildren do you have? Do they live nearby? Do you work outside the home? Too many questions?!! I look forward to getting to know you! My husband and I have 3 wonderful daughters, ages 14, 12.5, and 8. They keep us busy, but I love it! My husband and I have been married 17 years, but started dating when I was 15! We live 700km from our families (about an 8 hour drive) and 600km from the nearest city ( that is over 50,000 pop.). Well, it is time to sign off and hit the sack! Write soon! RIC

It's nice to meet you too. Tennessee is beautiful. Living in the big city of Birmingham, Alabama makes me appreciate TN's beauty more. I also find I miss smalltown life. I read a little bit of everything, but I have started reading more Christian "help" books. I just finished Beth Moore's book "Get Out of that Pit." I am reading Max Lucado's new book about making the most of each day. I can't think of the actual title of the book. I never thought books like these would be interesting, but I am glad I gave them a chance. They are very inspiring. I'm not familiar with Lynn Austin. Does she write novels? I am also working on a cross stitch called To Everything There is a Season. It seems like it's taking me a long time to make any progress!!!
I am looking forward to getting to know you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Dearest Friend, I am not from the Phillipeans. One of my new friends is from there. I live in Minnesota, but I lived in Arizona for 7 years so I am well aware of the AZ heat. My husband was there last week for a conference. It brought back many memories for him (the heat that is). RIC

You sound like a fun person who knows her stuff !!! I am the mom of a 20 year old and a 15 year old. They keep me on my toes and I love it. I've been married 24 years and that amazes me every day.
God has been good to me and I feel very fortunate to share that with others. What other kinds of books do you like? I LOVE to read.

Hi! I'm a mom of three, and grandmother to five. I haven't got a good picture to post yet. Will attempt to do that soon. So glad to be a part of this Christian Women's Group, and hope to make lots of new friends here.
Blessings!
