| My Philosophy on Why I Exist: | The first question of the Westminster shorter catechism is "What is the chief end of man?" The answer? "To glorify God, and enjoy Him forever."RIC |
| My Philosophy on The Nature of Truth: | I believe in one truth. The truth is the same for all. There are not separate truths for each individual. Some people would like everyone to have the attitude that all worldviews are equally valid, and should be respected as such. Unfortunately this idea breaks the second law of logic. The law of non-contradiction. This law states that any proposition cannot be both true and false at the same time, and in the same way. So, the proposition "God exists", and "God does not exist." cannot both be true. The laws of logic, as taught in formal logic classes, come from Aristotle since it was in his writings that they were first discovered. The law of non-contradiction shows us that only one worldview can be true. Therefore, the Christian worldview is not more true then other worldviews. In fact there is no "Christian" truth. There is only one truth that is universal in its scope. Truth can be defined as that which corresponds to reality. Since I believe that God is the source (creator) of all reality He is, then, also the source of truth.RIC |

I think that is a wonderful idea! Teenage boys always need as much help and info as they can get...especially from someone who may have "been there, done that" stand point. I will definitely be praying for you to get into school. My husband is enrolling in ministry school...just this night. RIC
