People I Would Like to Meet:

I am divorced after 26 years of marriage as my ex-husband, a Christian for 12 years, made a life-choice for not just another woman but a younger woman, 20 years his junior, whom he is married to. God has miraculously healed my emotional wounds and because of Him, I have completely recovered--completely free. I remain single. I am interested in networking with women, who are solid Christians--married, divorced or single--and believe as I, that the Word of God, the Bible, is the absolute truth and answer to all the questions of this life--and eternal life.

Interests:

Besides my greatest joy of serving the Lord, my interests are life itself--I enjoy it all: children, grandchildren, family, friends, reading, journaling, traveling, designing--clothing and interiors--oil painting, antiquing, gardening, spectator sports and  outdoor nature adventures.

Favorite Music:

My favorite music is Rachmoninoff, Symphony No. 2 in E minor--actually any kind of classical, jazz; easy listening and Christian old-time gospel to contemporary.

Favorite Books:Besides the Bible, I have many favorite Christian books from the late Catherine Marshall's "Something More" to books by Joyce Meyer. My favorite secular novel is "The Shell Seekers" but also, "September" and "Winter Solace" by Rosmond Pilcher; "Woman of Substance" and other books by Barbara Taylor Bradford; and "The Notebook" as well as other books by Nicholas Sparks.RIC
Heroes:

My only true hero is none other than my Lord, Jesus Christ. However, next to him is my biological father: a devout Catholic man, with great character; good to his wife, my mother; and good to his children and others. In 1995, it was my greatest joy, although humbling, when my father asked me to pray with him, and he accepted Jesus Christ  as his personal Savior, entrusting the rest of his years to the Lord. It was my privilege to care for him 24/7, with the help of Hospice, until he passed on to be with the Lord in 2005, as peacefully as he had lived his 99 1/2 years, while holding the hand of my mother, his wife of 78 years. He has left his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren a legacy of living a good example of integrity, principle, hard work, goal-setting and goal-accomplishing, and sincere, unselfish, true caring for people. He is missed. - A public figure I admire is the late President Ronald Regan, who also is a man of great character, leaving a legacy of living as a good example to not only his family, but all Americans.

Other Interests:I thoroughly enjoyed my travel to Israel in 2006. Touring the Holy Land was a desire of my heart since 1966--a desire fulfilled. It is an interest for me to meet people of other cultures and to observe their ways of living. I have enjoyed my trips to Europe; traveling throughout Italy, France and Belgium. I have found God's people are pretty much the same. We are an awesome creation, wonderfully made, and desiring the same--to live our best life. For me, Christ is my best life - and I pray people of the societies of the world can come to know Jesus, and live their best lives in Him, too.  RIC
My Philosophy on God:My philosopy on God is that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin in God's time, having come in the image and fullness of the Godhead; He lived a sinless life, was our example, and severed His Father well in an obedient, miraculous ministry; was crucified, shed His precious blood and died on a cross for my sins--and all the sins of all mankind--and after three days, He arose and He ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father. Then just as He told His followers about waiting for the Promise of the Father, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was sent and breathed on the 120 believers tarrying in the Upper Room--including Mary, His mother, and the other women--the free Gift of the Holy Spirit; and Jesus will come again to take His believers to be with Him. And His mercy endures forever for "Whosoever" will believe in Him and His Word.  It is good to believe in Him, the unchanging, Living God; to learn to know Him and His ways and to follow Him.  Praise God for His plan and purpose as Jesus makes this life, my best and a favored life here on earth; and, my best reward is eternity--my home forever, with Him.  RIC
My Philosophy on What Happens After I Die:I will live with God, forever. If one believes everything Jesus said about Himself and believes the high price He paid with His shed blood on the cross for our salvation and eternal life; then it behooves one to believe everything He said about Heavan and what we can expect when we get there. The Bible is the inerrant Words of God.RIC
My Philosophy on Why I Exist:

I believe God has a perfect plan and purpose for my life--for every believer's life. For me, it is to live my life "the more excellent way;"ie, with God's love. The Apostle Paul teaches about God's kind of "love"in First Corinthians, Ch.13. Interestingly, in the last verse ofCh.12, Paul encourages believers to earnestly covet the gifts, meaning "the nine gifts of the Spirit," then he writes in the last half of that verse, 'butlet me show unto you, yet, a more excellent way', and leads believers right into Ch.13--the "love" chapter. The 'more excellent way--love" which Paul speaks of does not, however, negate his words, 'earnestly covet the gifts' (nine gifts of the Spirit) anymore than it negates our seeking to let the Lord develop in us'the fruits of the Spirit'which, collectively, as we all know, is the character of Jesus and the behavior that governed His life. But I believe by Ch. 13, the "love" chapter or 'the more excellent way' Paul speaks of, God is telling me that my personality and behavior must be conformed to God's and, thereby, governed by'the fruits of the Spirit' and my ministry to others (or any believer, his or her ministry to others), can be done by 'the gifts of the Spirit'operating through 'the fruits of the Spirit--the "gifts" and "fruits" working in conjunction; so God's kind of "love" is demonstrated for His glory--and His love in me can be "read like an epistle" by others. So, I pray for God to develop in me His "fruits of the Spirit" and allow me to minister to others by His "gifts of the Spirit," living 'the more excellent way' and endeavoring to show that kind of "love"--God's love--as a testimony; albeit, not perfectly, but to the best of my ability. Nevertheless, I attain to that goal of loving 'the more excellent way'. In a nutshell: "What the world needs now is love, sweet love ...." is not just a song, but by loving 'the more excellent way'--which is a command from Jesus, Himself--we can truly "Love one another."

RIC
My Philosophy on The Nature of Truth:Truth is synonymous with Jesus, The Spirit of Truth and His Word. If we truly believe in both, we will conduct our life with integrity toward God and man. I attain to that goal as well.RIC

I am new to cyber-space, and actually do not know my way around, but I'm pleased to have found this site. I have so enjoyed reading your many comments. They have blessed me and informed me. I can see their is much knowledge about God and His ways on this site. My spiritual "Birth" Day was Oct. 30th. I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord on that day in 1966, and I began living my "best life." Aren't we believers fortunate? We were people who might never have lived out our "best life in Christ, " if He had not wooed or drawn us by His Spirit to be in the right place at the right time to HEAR about Him from the right person. I call such happenings, Divine Appointments. About my true "Birth" Day as well as yours, isn't it wonderful to remember that day--and the journey from there to here? Even the rough roads look glorious when we can look back and see His hand holding ours through it all. I know you agree: Our God is an awesome God, indeed! Have a blessed day! Looking forward to meeting you here.  Annielyn (Only User Name) RIC
