I commend you on leaving your chemical engineering job to be a middle school science teacher. I believe that it's an honor and privilege to make a difference ina child's life...to know that you can have an influence in how they live their life. My mother taught 4th grade for 30 years, and she has had the opportunity to see her influence on her students as adults, their children, and grandchildren. I believe in the African Proverb that it takes a village to raise a child, and in saying that teachers can help influence and raise up kids level of conscienceness.

Happy Birthday Ann! Thank you also for visiting my blog. I updated my blog today http://www.a-cup-of-joy.blogspot.com/ with an entry on Faith, Love, and Endurance referencing knitting and 1 Thessalonians 1:3 (NIV) “We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. You inspired me to write an entry to encourage new comers and knitters who have knitted for years to have faith and endurance, and not to give up. I also included some fun inspirational things to do for new comers to knitting and knitters who have knitted a while. Again, Happy Birthday - Donna aka "a cup of joy"
and thank you for inspiring me :)

Hi Ann, I am so glad to meet you. I see you are a middle school teacher. I can only imagine the challenges you face each day. I have a middle school son and what he shares about the kids and the event that gone each day is interesting. I solute you for taking on the young kids today. They sure do need good influences today. I look forward to talk to you.
HAPPY! HAPPY! BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! RIC
