Kimmie, how nice to become your new friend. I am also interested in other cultures. Currently, I am reading books within Persian (Iran) such as, Girls of Riyadh and Prisoner of Tehran. I think, next month I'll focus on books having to do with China, like Lisa See's book. I'm in an audio club too. So, I downloaded The Listener's Bible, by Max McLean. Ever listen to the way he reads? Astounding! What books have you read that really touched you, from the stand point of another culture? Or, the Bible?

Hello and Happy Belated birthday!!
So you are taking the prerequisites to enter the nursing program? Again I totally encourage you to stick with it. I was fortunate to have gone to school right out of high school,but my sister did it in her 30's while working and raising children. I know she's tell you it is totally worth it also. She is a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. (something I could never do),but again that is what is so awesome about nursing,so many different areas to choose from.
I love the psychiatric field. I have worked in chemical dependency,adult,adolescent and geriatric psychiatry in the past 20+ years. For the past 7-8 or so I have been working in an ER doing psychiatric screening and placements. I love it. I love the ER environment (but am not the blood and guts type),and am able to get people the help they need which is so rewarding. I will continue to pray for you,I know it will be tough and you have a heavy lood,but the Lord will surely help you carry it!!

Happy Birthday! I look forward to chatting with you too! Wow! You do have a full plate! I am doing well. Waiting on God to do some things in my life, but He is ever faithful!! I have faith! I had a wonderful comment left about my scripture I go by - Iron sharpens Iron. I believe all that many christian women have the ability to sharpens one another through their life experiences and their walk in the Lord. We as women need to help each other, carry each other, and glean from each other through all walks of life. Hand in hand we stand, strong in faith, sharpen with the word to fight of the battles brought down to try us with Jesus leading the way. Amen.
Visualize an army of women striking the head of the our enemy that strikes continuously at us...And we the over-comers the handmaidens of Jesus - standing in VICTORY.
WE ARE VICTORIOUS!!!
I see a banner saying "THESE ARE MY VICTORIOUS ONES" We are dressed in white with gold sashes our waist and swords in our hands our feet were soft sandal and we our holding shields high, each with their head dressed in their own helmet and I see Jesus in front smiling and I hear a voice shouting over us. Victory, Victory.. WOW, God is awesome.
United no enemy can stand against or family, or work places, school, or any other thing we touch... For if two or more agree touching one thing Jesus is in the mist, and it is done - VICTORY...Amen
